Yeah, Buffalo would laugh us out of the building if we offered that. |

Nashvilles draft history is unreal. In two years they basically rounded out their d-core by choosing....
Ellis 11th
Josi 38th
Ekholm 102nd overall
Plus they have found some other gems in the later rounds
Arvidsson 112th
Smith 98th
Rinne 258th
Weber 49th
One thing I noticed is that they usually keep their D in junior for the full 4 years then at least 2 half seasons in the A before gradually bringing them into the lineup.
Patience sucks...

Great blog Carol! A lot of ink for a prospect that is unlikely to ever make the NHL. Shocked Friedman was writing about him as well. He is an extreme longshot |

I'm going to Sooke harbour to watch the delivery of 200,000 chinook smolt because this thread is already dead. |

A chimpanzee could creat a new site called HockeyFuzz and destroy Eklund. As long as Carol joined HockeyFuzz of course. His incompetence is staggering |

Preds always had the luxury of having good enough D-men to hold the fort while their prospects PROPERLY developed though. Suter and Weber were fantastic for soo many years. They also had Hamhuis in the top 4 when he was quite good as well.

I like Nashville but the amount of attention they are getting is a little extreme.
As pointed out they had Sutter Weber and Hamhuis before and were no where near as good even thought they are better than what they currently have.
Foresberg Johansen Arvidsson and even Fisher. They have a well rounded team . Ottawa is another team shutting down the high octane Pens. Both teams have a solid line up from start to end . Same as the Ducks and if Pens had Letang it could be a whole lot different.
All four teams solid down the middle and good back end.
We can not be chasing a style. We need a plan and we need patience and most of all we need to keep drafting high end D and C . |

This is the first time they've made the third round in their 20 year history, their team currently looks good, but they've won sweet (frank) all as of yet.

The Pens would destroy Ottawa without the injuries. I've never seen a defense as bad As theirs. It's hilarious they are some how tied
